About

My art is an expression of love; my love of the sea. This has lead to my study of the movement of water and also its divine qualities. My desire is to express this connectedness I have with water in my art and also to remind people of the importance of respecting the nature of water, treating it as a living element. I notice in today’s fast moving world where ‘man comes first’ we have forgotten to respect and work with water. Without water there is nothing. It is the life blood of this planet.

I have written 100 emotive statements about water on pieces of paper which are now waiting in a scrabble cloth bag. Each day I will randomly select a statement and illustrate it. The hardest part of this project was to think of something that defined a creative act to each specific day. Selecting a statement on the day creates the pressure necessary to get the creative brain working quickly and spontaneously.
